Winter Activities

I haven't done a picture post in a while, soI thought I would illustrate what we have been up to so far this winter. I am going to make this post a little different. Instead of the entire post being ont eh front page, you will have to hit the "Read more..." link at the bottom or just click on the title at the top to get the rest of it. Let me know if you hate it, and I will change it back to normal. here goes:

We spent Christmas week up at the lake. Just Brenda and I (along with Lucy and Desi) We had a fair amount of snow, but the weather was good, and it was a nice little vacation.

The dogs love sleeping by the fire all day long. It's a tough life.

For New years Nephew Matt came in to town, and we went to Dave and Denise's for a party. We played pool, a few drinks we had by the adults, and we all toasted the new year in at midnight. New years day most of the family got together for lunch , and later we headed back to Dave and Denise's for a poker game.



Tess toasted the night a little differently.


The new year seems to have brought some new cold weather. We were up at the lake this weekend, and Saturday morning the temp wqas -20° F. The dogs really enjoyed the fire again.


The last picture was on our way home. The moon was absolutely beautiful rising over the snow covered mountains. It's a blurry picture, but it will server to remind me to get a tripod so I can take some better night shots.
