Royal icing dries hard like candy and is perfect for decorating gingerbread cookies.
Ingredients:
- 3 Tbs meringue powder
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 6 Tbs water
Instructions:
- beat all ingredients with hand mixer at low speed for tem minutes until icing forms peaks
- pipe with pastry bag fitted with small round tip, or use a zip top bag with the corner snipped
