Royal Icing

Royal icing dries hard like candy and is perfect for decorating gingerbread cookies.

Ingredients:

• 3 Tbs meringue powder
• 4 cups powdered sugar
• 6 Tbs water

Instructions:

• beat all ingredients with hand mixer at low speed for tem minutes until icing forms peaks
• pipe with pastry bag fitted with small round tip, or use a zip top bag with the corner snipped
