Brenda and I were cleaning out our spare bedroom the other day when we came across some old (pre-digital) pictures that we haven't seen in a while. Looking through these "old" pictures got me thinking... back when we used film for pictures we still took what I consider to be a lot of pictures. When we traveled we always had the camera, for family functions, etc... but now with the digital camera there is no hesitation to take bunches of pictures. In fact in the past 3 years we have taken some where in the neighborhood of 12,000 pictures on the digital. No, that's not a typo... of course a large proportion of these are not what I would consider to be keepers, but we also have a handy web page where we can store an almost infinite number of photos.
That is just one example of a newer technology that I take for granted. I can't even imagine life before the internet, or even life before Google. Then there is the DVR, flat screen TV's, cell phones, email on my cell phone, etc... It really is amazing to me how much things have changed in the past 10-15 years.
What technologies would you be lost without?
I can't wait to see what's next
